Together with your partner Pokémon, you can explore the streets of this vast city or visit wild sectors—habitats where you will encounter wild Pokémon. If you want to catch one, you need to aim carefully and throw a Poké Ball at it or use the Pokémon in your team to help capture it. For the very first time, trainers and their Pokémon will walk together and act in real-time during battles. Pokémon will execute their attacks as soon as their trainers command them. In addition to type differences, there will be new battle conditions to consider, such as the timing when switching out your Pokémon, the varying duration before an attack launches, and the size of an attack's area of effect. Mega Evolution is back! In Illumina City, Pokémon can exceed ordinary evolution with Mega Evolution!
